Open Prediction

Postby MagicBill » Sep 24th, '09, 00:08

Hi all,

I was wondering - what is the best version of the open prediction available to buy (as a deck or in print)?

I was speaking to Paul today about this effect and it got me intrigued.

Thanks for any feedback!

I love the "A prediction from bombay" Which mixes 2 ideas into this one amazing trick.

What i love about it, is the simplicity of the performance but theresult seems impossible. Definatly a winner.

i think its available from magicshop.co.uk - best is hard to say...tom's bbrrrr! effect is nice...there's loads of variants in there...

There is a nice version in Card College. Derren also performs a nice version, very simple but probably not suited to your style of performing/audience.

There's a nice one in Mind Blasters 2, too.

It depends on the objects of your prediction.
You will finde many ideas for playing cards but less for other objects.

Two examples:

Sometime in the 80th or early 90th Osterlind came up with a open prediction with ESP cards: "Viewed ESP Prediction".
There were five ESP-cards predicted ; actually their symbols and their arrangement on the table were predicted.
I guess beside the printed script I own he published it somewhere on one of his DVDs.

In the wonderful "Mental Mysteries of Hector Chadwick" you find a very clever chair prediction designed open.

Cheers
Th.

That's the one I do. Not particularly as a centrepiece, more as an impromptu thing.
