Just thought I'd chime in on the whole TT tone issue.

I remember a good few years ago in International Magic, Jerry Sadowitz was trying to convince me that a TT was the greatest invention on magic. I was holding out convinced (as some have been earlier in this thread) that unless it matched my skin colour perfectly, it would stand out like a sore... well, you get the idea.

Anyway, it was then that Jerry showed me that the TT he'd been using for the previous twenty minutes was BLACK! And I don't mean that it was burned and discoloured - it was actually manufactured for a completely different skin tone - and I hadn't noticed a thing!

Needless to say, a TT has been an invaluable part of my armoury ever since!

It sold me on the TT, and it's still a staple of my kit.
