Hmmm. It's possible. Off my head, I'm thinking of an explosive "squib" and a sharp percussive solenoid hitting a weak spot. Maybe Tom Lauten's the person to ask.

Just downloaded this book. If anyone is like me and the last time they touched anything to do with electronics was following instructions on how to make a flashing tent peg in a long forgotten D & T lesson then this book has to be for you. For the last month I have been slowly working my way through some basic electronics knowledge but I wish i'd picked this up earlier. It goes through all the basics you need to know, plus rudimentry circuit diagrams in a really readable and accessible way. In my amateurish electronics bubble I thought I had come up with a work of genius recently, and then reading this book saw that it was pretty much the first project that was suggested So, if you're even vaguely interested in the possibilities electronics offers to modern magic and mentalism, creative enough (or not rich enough!) to not buy the latest over priced gizmo out I reckon this has to be a definate. And its like £8.99 - bargain! Just one question, when's the advanced course coming out

Thanks for the kind words. Volume 2 is coming along nicely. I really want it out before Christmas. The modules are more complex, but there's still no theory - just step by step instructions for building them.

It got way out of hand and over complicated, so I'm currently in the process of completely re-writing it. After all, I want people to build the modules it contains and get the best use from them rather than just know what the book contains.

I'm hoping to get it out by next month - even if it kills me!

Well, that would mean no third issue, so take two months if you want (I'm very kind, I know)

I have an idea for issue 3: some sort of competition / poll on TM, with a vote, and you could write a chapter / how to guide for the item that got the most votes.

You could restrict it to all people who pre-order?

That sounds interesting.

Is this book suitable for somebody with limited Knowledge.....oh well ok... next to no knowledge......ok then no Knowledge (if I must be honest) about electrics? Plumbing I can do and very well if I say so myself. If it goes wrong I get a bit wet thats all. Electrics? I could die....

Yup. There's no theory involved at all. Not an equation in sight. Everything is examined entirely from the magician's point of view.
