I was wondering about this trick as i have seen it done by so many magicians but can't find it anywhere????????/

is it gimmicked? (or are they literaully sticking it up there nose)

Blockhead falls under the mantle of 'geek' or 'carney' magic. The nail (or screwdriver, or whatever) is really put up the nose.

Please do not attempt this without being shown by someone who has performed it regularly. It has the potential to do some serious damage. Whatever you do, don't read something on a website and give it a shot - you have no way of knowing whether the person has any real insight into the effect.

Isaac, judging by your writing I would hazard a guess that you are quite young. If this is the case, please wait a few years before you try this. I am being serious when I say there is a potential for damage, not least from an infection in your nasal cavity, which could prove to be quite unpleasant.
