The efficacy of hypnotherapy is not being questioned. It's the professional bodies that look silly for their lax rules.

I think I'm going to get me one of those fancy pants PhD thingies for a "lifetime of achievement in theology" or some such nonsense for Christmas. And one for my Teddy.

Asda, I think it was, recently had to take "Dr." off her exclusive range of foods. The woman's a quack. Her wealth is proof that an awful lot of people will believe anything.

Whenever I read about Gillian or her ilk, there is always a part of me that thinks: 'you could come out with much more believable nonsense than that and then you'd be rolling in filthy lovely money. Bwah ha ha ha ha!' But there's this little voice in my head that stops me and tells me that it wouldn't actually be a morally correct thing to do.

If it wasn't for my stupid conscience, I'd probably be a millionaire by now.

Don't get me wrong. I love some non-figurative art. Pollock and Mondrian spring immediately to mind. But their work doesn't need a small plaque explaining what the hell it is. You just "get" it. No understanding necessary.
