any tips? I can't use the american or british gimmicks coins, and I don't know what tools to use to cut the polish ones. And I really don't wanna wait 3 more years for the euro.

What kind of gimmick? When I was twelve I made a folded fifty pence coin with a clamp from my metal works class (probably the only thing I made in that class). However most gimmick coins will be impossible to make without expert help.

Hi Tom. Do you mean you actually want to engineer your own gimmicked coins ? This could cost you an absolute fortune and would be a waste of your time and money, especially if all youre wanting from it is a few coins. I read your introduction and noticed you are concerned about using foreign coins. To be honest it really doesnt matter. Im from the UK and i use American half dollars for a lot of effects, i also use Chinese coins. Just work something into your patter - 'I got these from a slot machine in Vagas' - or some such nonsense. This way the foreign currency will make sense to those watching. jim

no, just thought about a way of cutting them in some way. Yup, but ppl here are really suspicious, and I'm really keen on using local money. I can post my idea of cutting the coins into gimmick ones, but I don't know where to find such sharp tools. Of course I know the trick with the half dollar or quater changing into a chonese coin, and I could also transform my currency into the chinese coin. it's just a matter of tools and cost.

You can use a Bobo Switch in the audience's hands with good management, Lethal Tender may be worth checking out, most magical suppliers will stock it so check with your favourite. What coins are you looking to change, all I was thinking was Merchants of Magic sell the Ninja coins, I have not used them personally but I am sure someone here can fill in the gaps on this one.
