This pretty damn cool book is gonna be changed into a movie. Jude Law is going to play Carter but I dont know much else. The book is a really good read, so hopefully the movie will be just as good.

Carter beats the devil is one of my favourite magic books of all time and i have read it about 10 times. Do you have any idea when the movie will be coming out.

I'm halfway through it and it's great!

Any info about the movie yet?

Just reviving this thread, as Carter Beats The Devil by Glen David Gold deserves to be read as this book is an excellent read. Not just because the agglomeration of fiction and biography detailing the tomfoolery and adventures of magician Charles Carter would no doubt appeal to members of this forum, but also because it's a fairly riveting read.

I've recently finished the relatively lengthy novel (at 560 ish pages), and am really satisfied with it.

I think Jude Law will be great as Carter. I also thought it was a good book and worth a read. Hope the movie's good.

by the way the movie, is way , way off. Tom Cruise has the rights, but as yet there are no plans to shoot it.
