okay, who here has the mindpower deck by john kennedy. : D
just wondering how you present your ideas with one of these decks.ive seen 'smoke' by derren brown, but is there another way that you like to present the similar effect without the use of the fags. do you also present it as a magic trick or mental feat??

I haven't played with it as much as I should & so the memory bit has gone out of my head. Re-learning it is always on the 'to do' list.

I like the idea of Smoke but with the no smoking ban in public places of work & being a none smoker I came up with a way of having the card end up in a pen I hand them to draw the symbol of their card on having seen that it has disappeared from the deck. The pen doesn't write so they are asked to unscrew & check the ink. The ink blotted card is where the ink cartridge should be.

As I say, it's only an idea & hasn't been tried. It's a none smokers take on Smoke.

It's a bit of a cross over between magic & mentalism, on one hand you read their mind & tell them their card, on the other it's a card to impossible place routine. Having said that you don't actually have to perform the mind reading feat first.

Have you considered the Koran deck? You can get a very similar effect for a quarter of the price. Or you can make up your own Koran deck if you have enough spare decks.

Well, the nice feature of the Kennedy deck is that you can have it burned for a long time with the cards appearing normal. With the Koran deck (just great!) your performance has to trot along at a better clip.

The big advantage the MP deck has over the Radar/Koran, is you can show the whole card, if you fan to the right place.

You can do a mean KK/Heirloom effect using the MP deck.
