How excited am I at the moment?

Some of you know that I've been thinking about opening a resturant for a while. I've spoken to the business advisor who loves my concept but was a little worring about my lack of professional experience and qualifications. So I've enrolled in a distance learning NVQ course in Catering, I've got a bit of catching up to do as the course has been running for about a month but the tutor seems happy that I know enough basics to be ok to do that.

So that's the first step towards my resturant, I hope you'll all pop by for dinner when I open it up. :D

Every success in your venture, Becky, I always say that, after nursing and carework, two of the best things we can do for others is to entertain 'em and feed 'em - you seem to be on course to do both! Please keep us posted and, of course, let us know the date of the all importnat opening night, it'll be worth a trip down there even if only for a bacon sarnie :D !

What kind of food, where would the restaurant be, most importantly do TM'ers get a discount and will you need to hire a magician?

Well the resturant will be in or near to Pluckley and do North African, mainly Algerian Berber food. As for a magician, well I expect there will be regular magic nights going on. :D

I love that cuisene.

The north africans have a wonderfull way of creating dishes with spice and flavous, but without much of the heat that puts me off say, Indian , Thai, and mexican Cuisene.

And because northern africa is a bit of a melting pot, with influences from France, and southern europe, as well as Africa, the ingredient combinations can be quite unique.

Im rather hungry now!

Congratulations and good luck. I'm not sure I can afford to fly across the pond to eat out, that is one expensive dinner. Otherwise I'd be there. I'll have to send one of my cousins to fill in for me when you are up and running.
