Anyone know if it's possible to save a Rich Text document in Read Only? Any help gratefully received.

Trying to save it in Wordpad. Saving it obviously not the problem. Trying to figure out where and how to do this as Read Only is.

Not sure about wordpad documents, but I use open office and if I want something as read only, save it the normal way, then go into wherever you save it, right click on the document then go into properties. There should be a box you can tick that makes it read only.

Might be a quicker way to do it, but that works. Hope that helps

why not just print it to pdf?

yeah, download openoffice.org and use that, create it as a pdf with one click of an icon too...don't be scared!

PDF - not sure why you would necessarily do this, why do you want it read only?

Thanks everyone. I'm kinda sorted now, so no worries. But yes, Open Office will be downloaded later today. Iain advised this to me earlier in the year. I really MUST download it this time. Thanks guys.
