Rejoice! QI is Back Tonight!

Postby Tomo » Nov 26th, '09, 18:16

From the Radio Times:
    Thursday 26 November
    9:30pm - 10:00pm
    BBC1 North West
    1/16 - Gardens

QI returns from its holidays to make a fresh assault on our ignorance, and with something of a dream team: Dara O'Briain, Rob Brydon and David Mitchell - with Alan Davies in his usual right-handman role and Stephen Fry asking the obscure questions as our twinkling schoolmaster of a host. Preview DVDs were unavailable but QI is always a garden of comic delights - more so than ever tonight as Fry tests his pupils' horticultural knowledge.

You can always tell a radio times writeup by the way it says "Preview DVDs were unavailable but..." whenever a reviewer doesn't see the show preview

Fantastic show and with possibly one of the best line-ups of contestants they've had. I didn't even realise it was starting again last night but stumbled upon it so my evening cheered right up. :D

Aye - best episode I've seen in quite a while. Hate it where it just descends into incredulous noise.

And I was somewhat amused by an audience applauding the sinking of a pear.

And joint winners, too. I don't remember that ever happening before, but it must have done.

Was it a weight loss special?

Fry, O'Briain and Mitchell all looking rather more svelt

I spent the first 5 minutes of the show trying to re-adjust the aspect ratio on my tv

This seems to happen far too often on Mock the Week.

I missed last nights QI, is it due to be repeated or available on iPlayer?

It appears to be on the iPlayer already, thankfully.

Damn, that theme tune makes me happy. Happier than Christmas (Although that's not difficult...)

Howard Goodall wrote that. The full version of his theme tune for the Vicar of Dibley is really nice (23rd Psalm).

Me grunty atheist. But me like a lot. Him good noise maker.
