Need help with David stone's "stone production"

Postby SpongeBallSlight-of-hand » Nov 30th, '09, 07:03

On Vol.2 of Coin Magic by David stone (Not real secrets of magic) in the bonus section david stone teaches a very visual and startling production of a coin from downs palm position. It uses a grip similar to the web grip, and a modified production.

I know that practicing for 3 days is nothing, (as it took me months to get a good roll down with coins) but I've already noticed significant improvement. Practice about 6 hours a day. I can do it almost as good as stone, however stone's smoothness is still superior, and it seems the production when he does it at the fingertips is almost 'invisible", its hard to explain you have to see it.

Can anyone give me tips on this production? I think I have an idea why it looks so deceptive when stone does it.
1) He shows more of the fleshy part of the hand when doing the web grip
2) It is incredibly smooth
3) After the web grip position, moving to the hand back into position it shows a flash of the palm which looks very deceptive, the coin looks gone. I can not seem to replicate this.
4) The production looks almost invisible.

You can see the video of the effect here (its the teaser trailer):

It's at 0:54 seconds.

Thanks for any help, I want to get this just as good as stone's.
