# GET FLUXED: SIZE MATTERS leaflet when you purchase a MEGA Bertha block!*
# 1. The Monster Set (Four 2"x2"x1/2" High Grade Nickel plated Neo— 1/2 inch thicker than the M5!)
# 2. 10 magnets! Yes! 10 magnets, ranging from 1mm x 1mm cubes to a 1"square flat one! Even some 'rod' magnets for gaffing pencils and pens)
# 3. A TT, + instructions to gaff it
# 4. Shimming materials, including 2" of shim sheet and small metal rods
# 5. A lump of plasticine (more info in the Get Fluxed: Size Matters)
# 6. A shimmed match IN A SPECIALLY GAFFED MATCHBOX!!!
# 7. A gaffed Sharpie (with an N42 pre-installed!)
# 8. Get Fluxed: Size Matters—a 10 page pdf booklet, with 5 tricks and a bunch of information on how to shim, gaff and more.
# 9. A WRIST STRAP
# 10. Instructions how to construct a knee strap

Cheaper than the m5
Comes with a boat load more freebies than the m5
Same if not stronger than the m5. I imagine the strength difference between the two to be quite similar....[/quote]

There are 4 magnets in the Bertha. Each one is 1/2 the size of the M5. Do the math... that means that all 4 quarters of the Bertha combined are twice the size of the M5.

As for strength... there's no comparison really. The Bertha kicks butt. And bear in mind, what you are essentially getting are 2 x M5s in one Bertha kit.

The magnets are N42 strength in the Bertha.

Hope that clears it up.

Sorry to reawaken a two year old post...

But the two magnets, if you put them side by side would they connect at the sides or would one jump on top of the other? I'm looking for a long, wide, flat magnet.

I don;t know the answer to your question, but from what I have heard, NUMS isn't all that reliable any more.....

I don't know what NUMS is. Is it the sort of thing you can tell me or is it a secret thingy?
