Do you think cricket is a boring sport?

Postby bridgetbruston » Dec 4th, '09, 10:58

Hi Guys,
Do you think cricket is a boring sport?
I think it's not so boring but not so interesting like Formula 1.
What you guys are thinking?

Yes. Cricket is excruciatingly boring. I'd rather have my eyeballs removed from my head with a melon scooper than sit through a cricket match. However, this is the nature of things that we don't care to understand. I'm quite partial to watching snooker which some people hate with a passion, so it all works out in the end.

Cricket is a good sport ruined by competition.

It's something I cannot bare to watch but do not mind in the background on the radio if I am working on something.

It is too tedious to pay close attention to for hours on end (personally speaking), so I need something else to keep me amused until something happens.

That's why the spectators at Lourdes all get hammered during the match.

Playing is fun though, bowling, batting or fielding, I don't mind. I think 20/20 is more interesting (if requiring less in the way tactics) than test though.

Hmmm. A completely generic introductory post that doesn't even mention magic and now this.

Are you thinking market research too, that's why I ignored it when it appeared in Miscellaneous.

I just have too much free time on my hands today!

If people feel the need to register on a forum, the subject of which they have no interest in, for some covert motive, then that is a bit sad and they really should be looking at more professional and upfront methods of doing things. I'm not saying the OP is guilty of this; but if so, then I pity them.

kolm, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I still hate cricket. :D

Twenty20 cricket is ideal for watching in the pub. As the beer flows, so does the chat with complete strangers. It's better than football. There's a score that goes up faster than rugby and sometimes you get proper injuries!

Ice Hockey is even better but the good stuff is rarely shown over here.

Ice hockey was invented as an excuse for a group of lads to get together and have a good old punch up. Love it.
