Very Excited!

Postby themagicwand » Dec 4th, '09, 12:15

Dan at Lebanon Circle and myself have a great new prop available! I'm very excited about it and think it's absolutely wonderful (I know, I'm biased) and couldn't wait to share the news!

Rather than blab on about it here, I'll just post the link:

http://www.lebanoncircle.co.uk/on_the_blood.html

Go take a look and let me know what you think. It's honestly a gorgeous piece of kit and would be a welcome addition to any mentalist, magician, or bizarre performer's repertoire!! :D

Looks great, much like "From Hell." Can you comment if the method is at all similar, Paul?

That looks brilliant. I hoped to get to talk to Dan about his stuff at TMVI, but alas, the hoodie of time was ejected from the shopping mall of destiny all too soon (thanks Humph!).

"On The Blood" utilises a simple magical principle. However the principle is different to "From Hell". Hope that answers your question!

Looks very nice indeed. I love story-based routines that are accompanied by quality props. And so much the better if the effect is based on historical fact. Good job. Image

I saw this at TMVI and really liked the whole feel and look of this. The set upis great, and the props can be aged further and supplemented with period artifacts to suit the story.

Dan is coming out with some really exciting pieces, which draw on his many achievements to date. Can't wait to see more!

Well done to you both.

I'm having a CUPS attack. I should not be allowed onto the Lebanon Circle website, its bad for my bank.

This looks awesome though, the quality of the props looks great. I like how it says each frame is wrapped in Russian newspaper for authenticity, thats an eye for detail for ya.

Used this for the first time on Friday night at a parlour show for around a dozen people. It was fantastic. A darkened room, a few lighted candles, and the bloody thing just does all the work for you! I love it... even if I do say so myself!

It does, and I was afraid you were going to say that. I'll have to check this one out.

Glad to say that the Postie arrived bright and early this morning bearing this much anticipated item.

Lebanon Circle e-mailed the instructions a day or two earlier so I've had chance to check them out and the good news, dear folks, is that most of you already know how to do this effect so you can concentrate totally on presentation. As with other first class effects, taking a known and much loved method then applying it to a different style of story is the sign of genius. From Hell used another well known method, On The Blood uses one equally easy, if not easier. The suggested script is good and is easily changed/tailored to your own style, it suggests you had a recent visit to Russia so if your specs know you haven't been anywhere further than Cleethorpes, it's not a problem to modify.

What you get would look good on a shelf, on a wall, or on your desk where it will attract attention thus giving you the perfect excuse to display your mentalist powers.
