In Annemann’s Mental Mysteries there is an effect called spirit writing (page 6) which I am trying to become familiar with so that I can create my own version/effect from the idea used.

On reading through numerous times I can understand the main effect but I cannot quite work out how that the last part as written can be correct.

Maybe I am not quite reading it correctly or am in fact missing something totally but is there anybody else who actually knows this effect who might be able to clarify the ending of the effect for me.
