No forces needed for some effects such as card to pocket. Some of them need forces but it definately will help your confidence of palming.

It's one of the few promo videos which actually does what the promo shows.

No, it's suitable for palming beginners. There's no heat on you when you palm & you can have it palmed for a while before doing anything with it.

I want to buy this but I'm switching to a Fournier deck (you can get a shortnered Fournier deck; plus I've heard such good things about the Founier marked deck). Clearly it's not available as a Fournier deck.

The question is, if I bought it, could I adapt it to a Fournier deck - or could I make a Fournier Extractor from scratch by copying the Bikes Extractor?

If this CAN be done (Tom suggests that it can: "...even more excited about making up my own"), any ideas how long it may take? Minutes, hours, days, weeks or years? I have a fair bit of patience but...

I understand why you might want to keep all of your cards consistent in style, but it's not always necessary. Non-magicians don't care about the backs of cards, as long as they are not 'special' like those flashy Tiger decks etc.

I know I always seem to use Derren as an example (hey, I guess because he's doing quite well :) ), and I'm not going to expose anything here, but he uses a mix of Bicycle and Fournier decks on TV and live. Only freaks like us would notice this and deduce why he might change from one deck to another.

Thanks Ted. Two things:

1 You mean it won't matter if I use a Bike box with a Fournier deck?

2 Call me a geek but where can I see Derren sneakily use Fournier decks? Any scenes in Trick of the Mind I should look out for? I have access to series 1-3...

What I meant was that you could have Bikes for the Extractor effect and haul out Fourniers later, for another effect, when you need to read the backs. I would not suggest mixing case and deck.

If he ever releases a live version of Enigma you'll see 'em. I have a vague idea that he used them in An Evening of Wonders too. It's been so long since I watched the TooM series that I have no idea whether or not he uses them on the TV shows.

Thanks for this, Ted. I'm wondering if maybe it's better to mix the box than to switch cards, simply because even if someone does notice that the box is from a different deck, they've no reason to care. Well, I'll experiement and see!

Why do you think Derren uses Fourniers? Maybe he uses the short deck; I've never heard of a short deck in any other brand of cards, and although you can shorten a card it would take aeons to shorten the full deck. If you had a short deck with, say, four normal length cards, you could perform certain miracles with ease...

Just checked and I don't think An Evening of Wonders features the deck design I'm talking about. He certainly used one in Enigma. As for why, I'll leave that to your imagination...

I guess I'd be able to make a pretty good guess if I saw it, but I don't have access to it...

I'm not surprised, unless you have a time machine. Maybe it will be released later - it was a live stage show until quite recently. He's released previous stage shows so there is a good chance this one will end up on telly.

Ah, but I do have a time machine!

It's shaped like a refrigerator.

It makes this annoying buzzing noise, but the cool thing is, the light comes on when I open the door.

I have a feeling that the answer is "No." but can this be used to remove multiple (four) cards in one shot?
