Magic Booking Scam!! - Please Read

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Dec 27th, '09, 21:37

Hi there,

Firstly Merry Christmas!

I write to sadly report and inform you of a booking scam that someone has tried to pull on me just now.

It was for a booking in London, and when it came to final booking details today it turned out to be nothing more than a variation of the classic Nigerian Money Laundering scam (or the 419 Advance Fee Fraud).

It turned out that the organiser was apparently organising a party and flying in from an oil rig and wanted the following….

I’ve pasted his email here for you to see….

Hi, I got one on Christmas day, could smell it a mile off. I did reply, just to tell him to f88c off.
I just believe in being straight and to the point.
He didn`t reply, saved my time and his. Keith.

I got the same e-mail and politely said I couldn't do it since I don't travel that far. Seems like we need to get the word out for others to stay away.
