HINT: Those are called "Card Tricks" not "Mentalism" (at least, the link took me to a long list of card tricks being done).

In know, I know... many recovering magicians still think that card tricks are ok within mentalism, some even believing that they can do a full hour show of nothing but card tricks and consider themselves "Mentalists" but at the end of the day, it isn't what the performer thinks, but what the public says and nine out of ten patrons will refer to what you do as being "a neat card trick" NOT psychic premonition, etc.

NO I'm not anti-cards when it comes to mentalism, there is a time and place for everything, but when it comes to such devices less really is more. It is overcoming our magician's habits that make it difficult to see and understand why such things are so important; how replacing the cards with photos, postcards are some other "thing" that can be worked in a similar mechanical manner won't only detour the public from seeing it as being a "card trick" but give you a superior reaction as well.

Just some food for thought...

Forgetting the mentalism vs card trick, my question would be What's the point?
Besides music, what patter would you use?
For example, the magic looks strong, but so doesn't the magic in Gyspsey curse, add the bauer's take, and you have a KILLER effect.
I know Copperfield does a 4 ACE trick to music, but there is a story before it and a visual ploy theme people can follow.
