Is this an existing sleight?

Postby Matthius88 » Jan 11th, '10, 00:02

I've been working on a method of p***ing a card from the bottom of the deck, with my hands in a regular dealing position. I guess its vaguely like the side steal. There is very little movement of the hands, its quite clean but Im wondering (and assuming it is) if its an existing sleight?

I have a few ideas for using it and if it exists there's probably a more polished version than mine, so does anybody knows a good place to look for a move like this?

Off the top of my head I think you're talking about an Erdnase bottom palm. Have a leaf through expert card technique, they've got a whole bunch of bottom palms in there.

Thanks very much. Only got ECT recently and not had chance to work through it, so I'll get on it.

Cheers Serendipity

Similar to the Erdnase bottom palm is the Scarne version that involves sleeving after a wrist kill.
