The Effect

This video features some great effects using the switch a roo utility. Mark mason guides you through a selection of effects and then explains how they are done.

1. Aces Supreme

You remove four aces from a deck and get the spectator to pick any twelve cards. They then make four piles of three and put an ace on top of each pile. You ask them to pick a pile and these cards are put into your jacket pocket (they can be seen sticking out all the time). They then choose a pile and you vanish the ace from that pile (use your own method or take Mark's Suggestion). Once all four aces are vanished you then remove the cards from your pocket and show that they have turned into all four aces!

2. Joker roo

The spectator signs a card. You do some fancy shuffling (optional!) and say that their card will jump to the top. You take the top card and it is a joker, this is dumped in your jacket pocket. You try again but get another joker (the guarentee joker). You tell them that this joker will make the trick work. You put it in your jacket pocket and after some more patter you take out the joker and it has turned into their signed card

I have only described my two favourite effects, you get lots more ideas including a comedy prediction, torn and restored card and much more.

The tape is good quality and very useful if you have this utility, i never perform without it.

Review

Great tape, very useful. There really is something for all abilities. You will probably want to learn all the routines (i did!) and you also get help with setting up the remote system that comes with the switch a roo utility. I really have got a lot of use out of this tape and really love the material.

Can this be done in a shirt pocket or would the gimmick be visible through the fabric?

It all depends on the fabric to be honest. I have used a jacket, a dark silk shirt and many other colours. You will easily find the right kind of shirt by trail and error. Though i must admit that a suit jacket is ideal. Your shirt should have nice deep pockets if possible.

OK.

Sounds like a good gimmick but really not my style. I prefer much more impromptu .

What a great effect. You take a note and burn it in an envelope and it turns up in a sealed bag of crisps. I have kept this review short as to describe it in details may give too much away
