Seriously, though, they're making it because they can, and because nobody trusts new ideas in Hollywood, when they can wheel out a known winner instead and revamp it for a new generation of moviegoers.

They're remaking Fame for the High School Musical market. Same story.

At least the new Karate Kid movie has Jackie Chan in it (despite the fact that he's Chinese, and Karate is a Japanese martial art, but we won't go into that).

Im still uneasy about a remake of Clash of the Titans, without Haryhausen.I mean, what will happen to the clasic film?


Will future generations give these wonderfull, magical movies the time of day, once they see the ultra high tech special effects ?
