Although the effect for both the Brainwave Decks and Invisible Decks are basically the same in the end, I was wondering which some of you prefer over all.

I originally thought I preferred the Brainwave Deck b/c you can show that the card is the only one w/ a different colored back, but I soon realized that this deck can't be used for repeat performances in very close succesion b/c if someone names a different color face card, they'll notice that all of the backs aren't the same color as when they had named the other color face card.

With the ID, in the effect, you don't have the apparent card w/ a different color back, but I realized that this isn't all that important for the effect, and the trick is repeatable since all of the backs are the same color on both sides.

Any other opinions on which is better, or which you prefer?

i don't usually use the ID but i do use the brainwave deck. I actually don't use the brainwave has an effect i use it as an out in case a card trick goes wrong. Both decks have been invaluable at the right time but i prefer the brainwave deck. It's just down to your personal taste

I think once you use an invisable deck
you'll find it alot easier to master then the brainwave but the reaction witch is most important is equally astounding.I persoally use the invisable deck.

I have always had an Invisable deck in my show, always covers 30 years.

I had small decks for small shows and jumbo decks for TV and larger shows. I used the jumbo deck when playing Las Vegas and Atlantic City in the late 1970's and it was always a great success.

Eventually built a great part of my show around the deck, over 30 minutes with that one trick deck.

So, I think it is a great trick and a wonderful invention.

I always use the ID in my routines because it can be swapped for a regular deck and then perform another illusion. People can inspect the cards now and they think you're truly magical.

Personally I think a brainwave deck is better because not only is it face up... but it is a totally different color!

I personally use the ID. Doesn't the Brainwave require counting down to the location of the named card. With the ID, you just have to remember the card pairing and making sure show the correct side up.

To revive you invisible or brainwave deck, just spray them with a dulling spray, from any hardware or hobbyshop.

Many make the Brainwave deck easier by making a number of secret marks on the back of the cards (normally Aces/Sevens) to make it quicker to find the correct card.

Invisible decks give you an extra level of suspense as the revealed card is the only face down card, instead of being immediately face up in the brainwave.
