Replacement coins for Eddie Gibson's Chinese bit...?

Postby Flash » Jan 17th, '10, 13:55

Hi,

Being the general clutterhead that I am I've mislaid the chinese coin from my half dollar version of this amazing trick... I've turned my home upside down (it was quite heavy believe you me) looking for it.

I've emailed mr gibson, but wondered in the meantimeif any of you might know a source for this particular chinese coin, as I'm sure it would be handy to have some spares... It's brass with a round hole, dragon's head and symbols on one side, symbols on the other.

If anyone can be any help I'd really appreciate it.

I was in World Magic Shop a few weeks back and they had a good selection of Chinese coins so they spring to mind as someone who could help you to find a replacement.

Good luck

Cheers dude,

I've just peeked at their webby but nothing seems to match up... (I've also just hunted through various cupboards)... All to no avail.

If I ever catch up with those bleeding borrowers, I'll have a few stiff words to say believe you me...

One of the things with shops is that they have lotsof stock that doesn't make it onto their web site :?

I talked with Mr Gibson today and it turns out these are specially minted for him so I've ordered a couple of spares at a very reasonable price.

I have to say he was a true gentleman and fascinating, so the loss was in a way worth it!
