Hello everyone

My name is Imran, and I'm from the Netherlands.
I'm an enthousiastic card conjurer and I do some little magic with other props.
I will be 24 in march, and been entertaining people with passion for almost 6 years now.
Magic entered my life as a means to give my geusts an experience they wouldn't find anywhere and/or forget. I've worked in restaurants and hotels since I was 16, and the reason was because I love to please people with just purehospitality en genuine attention.
One day, i've looked on youtube for a few basic tricks, mostly self working tricks which I then learned and performed between courses of dinner when there was time on quiet days. This wasn't, and still isn't understood by my managers as extra service which evere waiter/bartender provides to his or her geust, so most of the tricks were fast and simple. About 2 years ago, I first _bought_ my first dvd, and it was Ninja from ellusionist. I found it on a flee market on queensday. That started my ever-growing passion for 'real' magic.

Now 2 years later and several awesome dvd's and my favourite book The Royal Road to Card Magic with the dvd from R. Paul Wilson I'm a competent cardhandler and I entertain people daily with my magic at work. Last year was also the year I felt I was ready to take it to the next level,and made bussiness cards and started spreading it arrou nd. It gave me great gigs I could use to build my expierence further then before. Mostly were free gigs, as I still see this as my hobby, and I got a fulltime job with fixed salery, so I don't need the money.

My fyrther intrest are exercising, making/mixing music as I am a hobby-dj aswell and bartending(Yes its that much fun :p).

Uhm well, I've rambled enough I think but if you feel like asking anything, feel free to.
I'm glad to be able to take part in this community and hopefully can contribute my share in the future.

Welcome to TM Imran

Thank you everyone, I feel very welcome. Don't expect much posts yet from me, because I'm working alot. I'm also trying to read up on what everyone has been talking about, so I have a fair understanding on knowing the community. My strife is to make a routine, linking my work in a proper way instead of 'jazzing' it .
I'm on the way of joining a magic club here in holland. I've met a veteran magician who has been doin alot of coin and stage magic, so I'm going to (or atleast blister my hands while doing so) learn those two directions and add them to my 'tools'.

Enough 'bout me, here is how I've perceived you guys sofar.
First of al inuendo bingo, priceless. Not even halfway done with the whole topic and I could not stop thinking bingo all week! But seriously now, I see alot of helpfull post by friendly members, and I love the reviews. Best thing on this forum. Love the pun in serious sections, for example the replies in the tips section. Openly and warm, homelike and sophisticated at the same time (i.bingo excluded :p) those words spring to mind sofar.

Anyways, now I've flattered you all, can you teach me how you do the 'I need sleep, of do I?' trick?
