If it's cards that you're after then I recommend Magic Box. I've found their service to be excellent

http://www.magicbox.uk.com

Also the Card Collection if you are looking for a variety of different cards as well as other bits and pieces. I can also vouch for their service.

For other online dealers then there are lots - I'd recommend looking at those advertising on Magic Week

Monsterz says:

The five worst words a magician can her - can you do it again?

Always say NO - if they want to see it again then this is usually an indication that you pulled it off!

I'd say the worst five words are: I saw how that's done!

I'd say that it's a good sign that you can captivate your audience and they didn't spot the secret.

No problem with the sites - happy shopping!

yep! they are fine. I also recommend JB Magic (http://www.jbtv.co.uk) that is owned by professional Magician Mark Mason. He also produces his own tricks that are distributed world wide. So they are fine, have used them for a long time

Hope that helps!

With most places you can phone in or post your order

I used www.magictricks.co.uk once, before I knew better o_0. The service is excellent, and it took 2 days from ordering to arriving, but the prices are very high, and they don't stock many things.

I'm a frequent user of both sites that I have recommended and have NEVER had any problems. Both offer secure payment etc. and delivery is fast.

I also use magictricks.co.uk but mainly for consumables these days. Delivery is good and I've found them no more expensive than other sites, in fact they are often cheaper than many. I suppose it depends on what you're buying from them. They are on the expensive side for buying Bikes though!

I'm not a great lover of JB Magic effects and it's a personal thing for me. I own a few which I thought were very good for beginners to intermediates but I've now progressed beyond self workers which most of theirs tend to be. I'm sure that many will disagree but there you go - each to his own. No doubt their ordering service is good although I haven't used this, I bought their effects from shops.

I would recommend magicbox or alakazam. Its just as safe buying off one of these sites as it is buying off a well know company like tesco for instance. I even managed to get my old man to order off magicbox for my xmas pressy last year. They even phoned him to let him know that the order had been prossessed. You dad has nothing to worry about.

There's no difference in the cards themselves.

However, Black bikes are generally spooky and usually used for mentalism effects. Although they can be used to great effect in a mentalism or bizarre magic context, they are not really very useful for normal magic as the colouring draws attention to them and makes the spectators suspect gimmick decks even when there aren't any.
