How Many Sausages?

Postby daleshrimpton » Feb 2nd, '10, 14:19

For lunch i have had Sausages, with Brocoli, roast veg, and Thinly sliced roast potatoes, with Sage, Rosmary, and onions.
very yummy!

however, i got the sausages first.. I like 3 sausages.. ( particually good ones too) For some reason the guy serving thought that 3 was too many. I got them, but he gave me a look. It was the look Julian Clary would get, if he applied to be a priest. :)

so.. how many sausages, is the correct number?

Three, unless they are jumbo ones - in which case, two.

true story.

I too like good quality sausages and I once dined in a restaurant where they were serving a trio of sausages on the menu.

Someone on a nearby table asked "how many sausages do you get then"

personally, I think that they come in packs of six for a reason so that's how many you should have

Surely that's 4 for dinner and then 2 the next morning for breakfast?

No. 3 for lunch, let the other 3 go cold, then sliced in sandwiches, the next day.( Or for supper)

I once ate a whole pack of 50 cocktail sausages - but that was a long time ago and I was very stoned....

With me it is most definitely three sausages, or two jumbo ones. Any moe s too many, and any fewer isn't enough

And no innuendo bingos please!

Love

As with all things, size is important. If they're thin then definitely 4. If they're thick then 3 would be nice, 2 absolute minimum but I'd give the 'chef' a filthy look as well. If they're chipolatas than about 8 dozen.....

After all how much can a sausage cost to caterers who buy wholesale - pence?

There should be no upper limit on sausages.

...I'd be interested to hear what the Pope has to say on the subject of sausages, though. I have a feeling he could well and truly overstep the bounds of rational and compassionate morality on this one!
