Learning P**-***w

Postby Eshly » Feb 7th, '10, 19:39

I've always wanted to learn this, because it is so powerful. I doubt I will use it for stage effects, but for close up performances what could be better?

I don't know how to do it, or where to start; so can someone please reccomend books or DVD's on the subject that can teach a begginer? :)

There is a nice man called Paul Brook who has a good book out called 'The Gift'. I don't think you can get much better!

I meant does it just teach the method, which I know, or does it teach more about the presentation. To be honest I know very little about p**-***w, and would not feel confident doing any of it without some good advice from a book :)

yup - search for his site, and answer the question needed...do NOT go and ask for the answer on here...or other forums...

It teaches the method from scratch in detail and includes several effects. Look it up on the website for more info on the book itself :)

£35 if I remember correctly

The Looch DVD has a PW trick.

Looch presents a prediction.

"what's the method?" says Peter N

"pocket writing" says Looch

And that's it! Brilliant bit of teaching.

P***** w****** is not the same as p**-***w. The clue is in the number of asterisks :)

could someone PLEASE tell me w.t.f p**-***w is?
I had assumed it was Pkt writn

foget it.. Just worked out what p**-***w means.

I would of thought that the words p**-***w would of been enough info on ity's own. Almost every effect out there , could be done using p**-***w.
how you gain that info is up to you.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

there is a right way to do it.

Ive said it before, and Ill say it again.

The right way to do it, is the way that suits you.

the wrong way for you to do it, is probably the way i do it..( Though i tend not to... id rather force, peek, and trust to luck)

some things, like this, have to be discovered by trial and error.

If your lucky you will go out, spend a few pounds on a clip board, and you will find it perfect for you first time.

But, searching on this, and many other forums for Imp devices, you will see that everybody out there, is looking for the holy Grail of devices, to aid them in pre.

Trust me, Its not been discovered yet.

there you go.. You have answered your own question. :)

think these things through. 99% of the time you are already using something that will do the job.
