I took a look at this effect after someone mentioned it in another post.

I'm fairly skeptical about it. It sounds a little too perfect. A too perfect I have felt before, and been let down by.

Ben basically admits in an ad for it that it is like a special force, in a way.
However, it seems far to impossible. He also says that it can be done again immediately after. This would also be strange for a force/system/whatever he calls it.

Can it really be used as he claims?
Can it really be repeated and amaze the spectators as he claims?

I just want to know if there is anything sneaky about the way that he is selling it.

Thank you,

-Ben

Hi Ben. I dont have this yet but is something I'm definetely getting soon. I am familiar with the basic idea and there are ALOT of possibilities with this.
Can it really be used as he claims ? - Yes it can.
Can it really be repeated and amaze the spectators ? - Yes it can !
The special f***e you mention is not actually for a specific card (if that makes sense) so it can be repeated with a diffirent thought of card, in fact every time you do it it will be a diffirent card (unless the same card is thought of through chance).
The crossroads principle is not neccesarily a trick, it is a principle with many applications. Steve Shufton, who worked on the deck with Ben, is a member of this forum, and is probably the best to answer your questions :)

Thank you.

That explains why Shufton thanked you.

That was the impression I got. It still doesn't really make sense to me now, but it probably will if I get it.

Thanks, and I'll ask Shufton.

I bought this effect recently.

I do think there is a slight discrepancy in the description of the effect versus the actual events. The spectator cant think of any card. In the hands of a skillfull magician/ wordsmith, they may very well believe they have been offered the chance to, but they haven't.

Not that that's a criticism of the effect (which is very good), but rather the advertising. Also, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable repeating the trick, as this might lead the spectator to a method. But again, a better magician may do a great job of it.

Just my 2p.
