I hope I’m posting this in the right area, if I’m not please can a mod move it. I wrote it in a motorway service station on the way back from a private reading so I hope it makes sense.
Effect: Factotum Magnetic Thumper
Cost: £69.99 including delivery.
From: Jon Thompson (Tomo on here or via
http://stores.lulu.com/booksbytomo)
What is it: A remote control device used to signal things.
What you get: A keyfob transmitter and a small anonymous looking receiver about the size of a deck of cards in a rounded black case with a removable external indicator that straps onto an arm or a leg. When you press the button on the keyfob, the receiver vibrates. There’s a switch in the receiver to switch between the thumper in the receiver or the removeable one, and there’s an intensity dial inside the receiver so that you can turn it right down for when you must work in complete silence.
Review: Me and my lovely manager Rona have had a great time doing impossible things over the past couple of months. Rona has worked out a code for telling me what’s been written down or what tarot card has been picked or what picture has been drawn. It’s still a bit “20 questions” but we’re getting there and no one has ever suspected a thing. We use it for carefully establishing my abilities before a reading with someone who looks like a sceptic and it works a dream but there must be plenty of other uses for it. You can download the manual for free from Tomo’s web site which is a good idea for something costing so much.
I’m a bit clumsy and I’ve dropped the receiver a couple of times and its always worked again so its also robust! The range is about 50 metres so its probably far enough for most things. When you order one Tomo makes them individually but they still ship in about a day which is a good service. The signal is in code so that your transmitter is the only one that can work the receiver but we’ve only got one transmitter so I’ll have to take that as red, lol.
Is it worth it: Hell yes! The other thumpers I've found on the market or been told about by others at the moment are many times the amount Tomo is charging for his. I haven’t done much market research but the controls this little beauty provides look like all you need. Its small enough to hide anywhere and never let me down. It runs off a normal square 9 volt battery and lasts all day so I can use it for a fill psychic fair without any problems. It’s really small and can fit anywhere. It even comes with a free rechargable battery.
Verdict: A definite 10/10
