Pen thru... tip

Postby katrielalex » Apr 8th, '05, 06:58

I noticed that nobody had posted this, so...

What's your opinion on using your own bill instead of borrowing one? I thought that this at first was a good idea, because it takes all heat off the pen(cil) for about a minute, which gives you time to ditch the gimmick (Misled) and so on... However, now I think this over, do you think this removes some of the 'shock value' from the trick?

I've done Mislead a few times and I can safely say that you wouldn't get the same reaction with your own note. I had someone almost leap out of his seat to grab his money when I did the 'tearing' bit of the routine.

Hee hee  .

Fair enough. I just wanted to know if that was a good way to get the heat off the gimmick. Probably not then...

You should definitely get a pen thru if you're making a magic order.

The hilarity factor of borrowing a tenner, then saying, "Now, I'm just going to make a hole in the middle. Like this."

Hee hee.

*giggles*
