Just received a copy of Drawing Room Deceptions by Guy Hollingworth. Why had no-one told me about this guy before - GENIUS!!! I'm gonna start doing the signature dupe routine at this evening's magic gig. A book full of absolutely top class (and sometimes fiendishly difficult) material! :D

Guy is a master of sleight of hand and deception, a gentleman and a legend in the magic world.

I love the London collection.

Great great book. If you'd seen him before you read the book, he would've fooled you with every single effect. Then, when you read the book, you'd cry when reading the methods of what've you've just seen!

Yeah! A card is chosen, signed and shown around to all. The card is then visibly and undeniably destroyed by one of the audience (not a stooge) who confirms that it had the signature on it - because it genuinely had! The card is then instantly restored and shown to everyone and they can all see that it is the card with signature intact - because it is! No gaffs - AWESOME!!! 8)

Lenoir is correct- but just to add salt into the wounds he isn't even a magician. It's a hobby as he is in fact a lawyer- damn him. I don't like performing too much of other's material but reading this book, on every single page I was thinking 'oh no. I'm going to have to perform that aswell aren't I?'

Controversial view, to say the least!

Bear in mind that John Bannon is a busy trial lawyer rather than a magician... doncha just hate people who are so multitalented? No? Just me then....
