For the life of me I can't remember the name of the effect. He showed it during one of his lectures. If I can remember the name I'll post it.

oh yeah, I'm aware. But just think I'll be able to watch the same movie over and over again and never remember the time before.

I'm going to perform some mind reading at an old peoples home now-
'what's your name?'
'Rodger.'
'Hmm, I'm sensing your name begins with... and R? Richard or Raymond or Rodger- is it Rodger?'
'OMG'.
Do oldies say 'omg?'. Oh well.

I find one ahead works better when you're reading thoughts, ala Cassidy's 4th dimentional telepathy, rather than predicting thoughts. The changes are slight for the magician/mentalist, but the effect is totlally transformed in the spectators eyes.

One time I was casually performing with one of my magic buddies who used the one ahead principle to predict choices. He was called out however. Immediately afterwards I used the same principle to do "mind reading" and it came over as a success.
