Well, it's finally time I bit the bullet and joined TM and more importantly, got involved. I've never been a fan of internet forums, not just magic related ones, but forums as a whole. However, over the last 6 months I've found myself reading more and more reviews and conversations on here to the point where I've realised it's quite impractical of me not to get involved and enjoy other people's thoughts and of course share some of my own (albeit limited) experience.

I've been a student of magic for the past three and a bit years with a heavy leaning towards mentalism (yes, I just heard you groan "oh, another mentalist"). I would say mentalism 'chose me' rather than I chose to 'do' mentalism. Like many performers of any magic, I started with a few card effects etc to friends down the pub and in work but with my 'real life' persona as a behavioural coach who often talks in ridiclious psychological terms the mental approach to the art just 'fitted' and so it went.

The last few months have seen me taking a step up from showing effects to friends and random strangers to 'proper' gigs. I'm currently developing my stage 'persona' which fits in with my appearance (a somewhat tattooed punk (well, 'psychobilly' if you want to be pedantic)). More of that to come, I'm sure.

Right you are, that's enough from me, time to get posting on some of those reviews I've found so interesting. Apologies in advance for some old reviews getting 'bumped' from the grave!
