a friend of mine told me fold my own dollar bill 3/4 of the way long ways and lay it down infront of her. The serial number was visible, but the small number below it which also appears 4 times on the face side of the bill was coverd it, somehow she was able to tell me what the small number was without seeing it, and wont tell me how! Any ideas

Yep, easy peasy. But fishing for methods here is not really the done thing.

Hmmmm...I'll sell you the incredible method for 30 pounds. Or, you could read, mark wilsons complete course in magic (stupidly cheap) and/or 13 steps to mentalism (stupidly cheap). If you don't know how it's done after studying those, then we'd be happy to tell you. But if you ain't gonna perform, then you ain't gonna like the method.
