Theory 11 1on1 Training Tutorials - Single Sleight Downloads

Postby Bertoneski » Apr 7th, '10, 18:50

These are high production value, very well shot, beautifully lit and well edited single card sleights. In terms of production they make Allan Ackerman's Advanced Card Control series seem very old hat.

They cover the audience view and the magicians view of the sleight slowly / several times and explain the variations and flourishes. Jason England is an excellent tutor. Faultless really...

The only question is the price. A single tutorial for $10?

No I didn't - but from what i have seen on his site the production value is very different.

Someone once said that there are many slick websites out there, and I am the antithesis of them. I quite like that.

If flashy camera work and fast editing are your thing, then stay away from my site! However, if you are more interested in the content of the lesson, I may have something for you.

I am unashamedly in the 'content over style' camp, and make no apologies for that.

Take care, Ian

Hi Ian

I too can't abide unnecessary flashy editing and style over content.
However these tutorials are content heavy and at the same time well shot and have the very necessary reverse angle that make video tutorials much easier to understand.

My main beef was the price: one sleight for almost £10.

How much are your videos?

Ian's stuff is absolutely top notch and teaches you all those little subtleties that everyone else glosses over. HIGHLY recommend!

This link may answer your questions: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic29759.php

Year one has eight and a half hours of video, if you add year two (for twenty pounds) you get another five or six hours (I forget exactly how much).

Take care, Ian
