Evening all.
Quick hello from Old Codger, down in Gloucester. I'm merely an amateur at this magic lark - just perform for family and friends, and then only infrequently - but I do enjoy it a lot, and having read lots of the posts here I thought I'd join up, say hi, and show my appreciation.
Been studying the art on and off for about eight years (I know this because I wrote the date on the inside cover of my copy of RRTCM when I purchased it) but my love of it goes way back to the days of David Nixon whom I used to love when i was a kid.
Anyway, it's mostly cards and a few coin flurries that I enjoy, though these days unless I practice something constantly I forget it - which pretty much means I only know one effect at the moment...
Used to hang around a few forums - magictricks.co.uk and then, after that closed down, the Houndshead Magic Pub. That closed down, too. Maybe it's something I said? Not sure if there are any folks from those places here, but it's been a few years and I feel a little stuck in a one trick rut, so here I am.
Anyway, it's getting late. Time for a spot of Horlicks, a digestive, and an early night.
