Ive been working on this effect for along long time and its getting near the stage where ill start to trial it.
The reason i posted this is i wonderd if any similar effect using a small mirror has been used other than on dice
So her goes for an explanation. You bring out a small pack of 6 cards all queens and patter on about some female vampire called the queen of the damned etc ect.
Showing the backs and fronts you then deal just down two queens face down
Ask the spec to lay a pair of silver fangs that are on the table on top of one of the two face down cards which they do. Turn the card over and it indeed a Queen . You the state that this Vampire queen only has one objective and that is to capture a young female which will be represented by the second card
After some patter you bring out a small gothic Mirror and go on about vampiires of course have no reflections. Placing the face up queen across the face down victim in a heart shape you lift these above the mirror to show that the victim has no refection( the card is blank). this looks eerie due to the fact that you can still see a face up queen.
EFFECT one
Then state that all off a sudden Cagliostro the Vampire slayer has enterd the sanctum and the queen must go into her coffin (normal looking black envelope ) and lay this face down.
You the place the fangs over the four cards, the remaining maidens in the village and show that these also have gone blank, maybe using the mirror again.
EFFECT 2
finally you explain that these blank cards are really only half vampires due to the fact that the cards can still be seen even though blank. You open the small envelope and hold this over the mirror. The Vampire queen has gone and its just a blank space no reflection ... no card visible at all. This is because the Vampire queen has truly lost her earthly soul
OVER
You put all the cards into the now empty envelope.
PS
you can get some reall suitable small mirrors and fangs in these Goth shops
i have made this expanation as succinct as possible and just wonderd if this line has been pursued before
