you want a reply in under three hours, on a friday?

maybe no one has any experience to help you - did you want every member to post "can't help"?

just wait and be patient...

Can't help.
Sorry.

EDIT: PS. In this instance it's probably best that you ignore my signature. The answer is most likely not there.

You know, I want to copy your status of late. That way I need not write ANYTHING. I am becoming a stuck record of late 'Corinda.. Corinda... Corinda again... PMM'
But honestly, no idea. I have no experience with illusions, but I know there are some nice sections about it in Tarbell course which are interesting, but I have no idea if it's what your looking for, sorry.

Hey Iain, you might want to check the date of the original post...

Undertaker1, I'm sorry I can't help much and that's why I didn't reply when I read your post the first time around. Have you tried your local magic society? I think it's your most likely chance of success.

I'd also say that there probably hasn't been much response because the people on here know so little about you... Until today you had only made one post (no introduction etc.).

Welcome to TM,

Now then as I said personally I can't be of much help... But maybe a local society can, here's a link to a very useful source to find yours;

Hi,
I don't think people are just ignoring you- I'm sure someone might have the information your looking for but I have no idea and can't guarantee. I think the reason why you haven't been inundated with responses is because your actual question is a tad ambiguous: How specifcally would you like experience? Would you actually like a performance partner (In which case I can't be sure of your sucess)? Would you just like to learn about illusions? If you could be a little more specific about what exactley you would like help with, then perhaps people may be able to help a little more. Hope this helps :D
Thanks

Hate to break it to you, but there is only one way to gain experience with any illusion and that is to work with the illusions. There is no other way. I'm assuming you know what they are and how they work. If you don't then perhaps you shouldn't be working with the magician in the first place.

It has already been what kind of information are you looking for. Your first post, as stated was not very clear.

thanks for the replys to clear up the point that im trying to find someone who apart[ from the magician in the south west of england] has the illusions that have been listed [buzzsaw- thin box ect] and would be prepared to let me get more practice with them --i know this is a big ask but i really would like to get the practice as i said ive used them in the past but travelling to the south west of england to home here in the south east of england makes teaming up with him impossable i hope this clears things up slightly :?:

OK, the complete and utter lack of any punctuation in your posts make them incredibly hard to read, so I may be mistaken here. But if teaming up with him is impossible, how are you going to work with him once you have the experience he wants you to have before he will let you work with him?

You have merely repeated South East and South West several times without giving any actual information as to what it is you are needing to do, which is probably another reason why people are not flocking through with responses like "yes, by all means come along to my depot and crawl around my illusions all day."

Magicians are in the business of protecting secrets.

He's not being personal, just pointing out that what you've written is difficult to understand and since you ask for help it's hard to offer any if we can't get to the heart of your question.

If I'm right, you want to work with a magician in Weston Super Mare but he needs you to be more experienced in the use and operation of various stage illusions. As you live in Southend On Sea, you can't use the magician's props and are looking for someone more local who has these items and will let you practice with them.

Is there any guarantee that the guy in Weston will actually hire you after you gain more experience? To my suspicious mind, and sincere apologies if I'm wrong, it sounds like he's fobbing you off with a flimsy excuse. If he's really interested in you and your skills he'd make allowances and make arrangements for you to get experience with his props - after all, how long can it take?
