In need of inspiration for coins

Postby Daza XIII » Apr 20th, '05, 06:56

Hi, I’m in need of a little inspiration please.
I’m new to the forum so I’ll not explain here how my effect is done as I’m not sure what the rules and etiquette are with regard to the workings of tricks.
The effect I’ve just started practising is five UK 10p coins, each vanished one at a time using a different method to for each coin. The problem I have is I need a decent effect for turning two coins into one.
I’ve been having a go with a click pass (I think its called) but its just not working for me. Plus, as I usually perform bits in the pub for friends the “click” probably couldn’t be heard anyway.
So I was wondering if someone could help me out with an alternative method or sleight?
Thanks.

There's a gimmick that will do this...dunno if I can mention in on an open forum.

Coin s**** if you get my gist :P.

I do...... unfortunately thats my first, 5 coins to 4 bit.
Could do with a sleight rather than a gimmick to be honest.

Ah...sorry.

You'll want to talk to magicdiscoman for this...he's the coin guy around here.

If by that you mean the J Bobo coin book then yes. (even though I’ve not re-read it for a few years now)

Perhaps I should have phrased the original post a bit better as I was wondering what might be the preferred methods of the more experienced performers of the forum.
I’m not short on the knowledge or theory its more the practical application of various methods and what works well under what circumstances. I’ve known how a lot of things are done for quite a few years but its only been since roughly new year that I’ve actually started to practise enough and become proficient enough to perform myself.
Thanks.

you seem to have it well in hand the only thing i can suggest is to tenkie the second coin for the two into one and if you want it back you just tip the coin onto your other hand wile finger palming the second.
