Is anyone else as excited about this movie as I am:

Big fan of Ridley Scott, Russell Crowe and Robin Hood so personally I can't wait! :D

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Can't wait to see this!

Crowe and Scott always make a good film together, and by the looks of things this one will turn out just as good as gladiator, although maybe on less of an epic scale as that film but ah well.

Speaking of Gladiator, most of the woodland filming and the castle for Robin Hood was filmed in the same woods that the opening sequence of Gladiator was, and luckily for me those woods are only 20 minutes away from my house!

When they were filming Gladiator i had the incredibly fortune to meet both Crowe and Oliver Reed, granted i was in my early teens at the time but ill never forget it :)

I met Ridley Scott a couple of years ago. He's a nice fella.

Was coming out of Thomond Park some years ago after Munster v. Harlequins game and became aware of crowd looking in my direction. Looked over shoulder and it was Oliver Reed dressed in red wet suit and wellington boots. He lived in Buttevant, Co. Cork during later years of his life.

Always believed he shoulda got posthumous Oscar for Gladiator

I just wish they'd cast an English actor in the role of this iconic English legend- Kevin Costner, now Russell Crowe - I just hope the fake Brit accent isn't too pitiful..... Cary Elwes was good in the role (Men in Tights) but, there again, he was born in Westminster...

Im secretly looking forward to this, but outwardly very skeptical. I have trouble picturing Crowe as Robin Hood, because I always think of Robin Hood as a bit of a happy-go-lucky rogue. And I always think of Crowe as a bloodthirsty badass.

My favorite Robin Hood was the Disney one, that kicked ass. Or the Erol Flynn one.

Despite the fact that I live in Robin Hood's hometown (that's Sheffield as we all know, and not Nottingham), I've never really "got" Robin Hood. He just doesn't get my juices flowing (ooh-er missus).

I cant think of a movie i am less looking forward to see.

Russell Crowe is just totaly wrong for the role.

To me, Its just Gladiator with Monks.

I was quite looking forward to it until I saw the trailers with the D-Day landing craft. Plus it won't be up to the standard of the disney Ooh-de-la-lay!
