Postby magicollie » Apr 25th, '10, 19:23

Hi Guys,

I have searched the forum and cant seem to find a topic on business cards.I have a few things I would love to find out.

1) Where do you get your business cards from?If its online please post a link.

2) Do you perform a trick with the business card or is there a trick on the card?If you do perform a trick what trick.

Thank you guys,I need to get some new ones and any information would be amazing.

Best,

I'm sure there was a thread very similar to this not so long ago, but I can't think for the life of me what it was titled.

I started a thread on advertising. A few people recommended vistaprint, this is the one I went for in the end. I'm very pleased with them and also they're very cheap. There were some other recommendations here is the thread http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic34790-0-0-asc-

moo.com. I got some business cards from them recently. They're good quality, cheap and if your in england you can get next day delivery.

And here's the best thing, you can get ten business cards absolutely free. You don't pay for delivery or design you pay nothing, £0.00. Allowing you to see exactly what your going to buy.

The only minor drawback is that as far as I can work out, you can't have one side blank. However this may be something I missed in the design stage.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

Woohoo, a convert :)
You might be able to not have any text, and use an image for the 'front'. Alternatively just upload a white image I guess

I shopped around a lot of sites, but in the end went with Vistaprint because one of their stock designs fit what I was looking for. I'd used them before, anyway, and was happy with their service and quality from the previous job.

Leave the back of the card blank, and then you can incorporate it into any trick where you (or the spectator) write something down. If you do readings, there are some good "back of the business card" readings. You could also incorporate it into tricks where you need something like a bookmark, or to mark a place in a deck.

The other big advantage with Vistaprint is that they are so cheap that you can change your cards as often as you need to. I get my hypnotherapy cards from them and get a new set every time my qualifications are upgraded - so I have plenty of old ones for practising billet work! I did get caught out once when I re-used an old template and the cards came out mis-printed - but they gave me a new set free of charge.

I've used Vista print a few times and they are good. The only problem with them is that they do tend to print slightly dark so you need to make sure that any images you upload are lighter than you really want.
