Help!

Postby impromptucards » Apr 20th, '05, 01:51

Hey! I'm new here, but I need some advice! I'm only 15, but I've done magic for a few years... I'm AMAZING with cards. My control baffles even the pro magicians in the area!(Aiken, SC) I can do alot, including: scaling, backpalming(and pivot), cuts, fans, and I've invented my own backpalm! (It's totally awesome, easy, quick, and clean!) People have thrown money at me to do birthdays... but I quicly turn them down, because my repertiore is composed entirely of card tricks! Where should I try to perform!?(other than messing around with my freinds at school...)

P.S.- After reading my own e-mail... I realized how conceited I sound... but I needed for you to understand what I have to work with...

now that youve mastered those peices of plastic with ink on them why dont you move on and expand your horizons...start with some non card stuff...theres so much to do...coin stuff anything...scotch and soda is really nice but not exactly a good coin place to start...if your serious bout coins and really wanna begin then get Bobo modern coin magic...i have it and have to say its very good material...although i still suck with coins but thats juss me

I'm 14, and I'm NOT amazing with cards :P.

Nah, I'm working on it.

Why not talk to Magic Mark - he's a working pro (and 15 too!)?

Anyway, good to have someone to get advice from...

That's a nice PS, because it shows you are not as conceited as you sound, but nevertheless, I agree with what others have said, try to learn other aspects of the art, coin magic for instance, is much more difficult to learn than card magic and I am sure if you have most of the basics of cards off at such an early age then you will take next to no time to get the basics of coins!

Best of luck with your magic and if you have any problems feel free to PM me!

Best Regards

Jack
