Greetings from New Jersey!

Hi all,

Being that I have only casually done magic and continue to do it as a hobby, I decided it wasn't a bad idea to get involved casually with a community. So I tried the Magic Cafe...

....and that was probably the most distasteful of any forums I've encountered. The people are rude, rude, and rude. They think their opinions are the only ones that should be counted. There is excess derailment and insulting to everyone. Now I do not mind occasional fun teasing, because obviously this is the internet. But to that level? It was watching 40 year olds suddenly become rabid 6 year olds!

So, I have decided to try my luck here. Just browsing these forums it is clear that people here don't insult you if you make a bad purchase. Thank goodness, civility!

As for me: I am a huge fan of card magic, absolutely cannot classic palm (but still trying!), and am currently learning a bit of rope magic and mentalism. I go to medical school in the US, and am hoping to combine my magic with medicine in the future!

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Hi and welcome! We do have some rather lively exchanges at times and it's fair to say that a few feathers can get ruffled occasionally but nothing that can't be fixed!
