Hi new to the site id like to get peoples views on an idea i have been playing with.

It is the use of magnets placed on various points on the hand secured by flesh coloured plasters. I have used this while seated at a table for several routines.

Effects that i have worked on are chop cup routine with a polystyrene cup a coin matrix effect and a cup and ball routine which polystyrene cups also i am trying to develop gimmicked cards which can be used with the magnets.

Is my idea new and origional. i have heard of the magnetic TT but never of the use of magnets on other points of the hand. any feedback would be appreciated.

should i stop wasting my time developing this or can you think of any other applications for magnets used in this manor.

I think it's an excellent idea.
It's probably been done before, but, as far as I know, has never been really developed.

cards4magichave shimmed cards etc which can be used with magnets.
There are also shimmed matchsticks available.

It would be good to see a substantial routine developed and performed using your ideas.

i have routine i hope to perform shortly at an up coming convention but still have a few things to work out.

ive even know a neo under synthetic skin on the back of the hand and the classis ssud but your idea about using a plaster is a great and inocent idea who would suspect a plaster.

oh oh....that could be a problem mate...considering its plaster it could be a bit of a problem beding you palm without it acting funny...it could work out fine...but it might look odd if you bend your hand palm up...so probably you'd have to keep all the movements of the palm...well palm down obviously...just a thought

a quick idea corn plasters there the right shape ie round and depending on the type of mag and strength you need they could be virtualy flat.
