Not that kind of photography!!!

Another chance to get on the awesome list.
What happens is a theme is given for one month, people take their piccy's on that theme, post them up, and the winner of each month goes on the awesome list! No more than 3 pics per person per month, and the winner gets to chose next months theme (nothing rude!)

This months theme is action shots (things in mid air, etc  ).

Does the fact I'm doing a fine art and photography degree make me declared void?

Not necessarily!

Because it will be all the more amusing if you don't win...

Oh, and by the way, because this one started late, it will carry on through next month as well before we move on to a new topic.

Nice idea, ive decided to learn how to take photos as a nice little hobby and stress relief idea. Ive been out playing with my camera today out in the Yorkshire Dales, trying to figure out what all the buttons do!

Brilliant, an excuse for me to take photos

Not sure what I can do for that topic though...

just put it on a timer and throw something, or blow stuff up!

now you can see why my approach to photography is quite a risky one...

Im confused, do you just take interesting photos and post them up, and people vote to the best one?

I'll get the ball rolling then.

This is from my last trip to Florida, was looking through pictures as not been for a few years but are off again at the end of the week (Yay/Gloat/Beam)!

I'll look through my other snaps for anything with action and try and get something else while I am away.

Great idea.
I can imagine that something like this would be in the top 10 ... this is a picture I got sent from a friend the other day.
Not taken by me! (Just posted for fun).

Image

I got a few questions:
- Does it have to be a brand new picture? If I took a picture, for example last year, that fits the topic, would it be eligible?
- Can I enhance the picture in Photoshop or do you only accept "raw material"?
- Do we post pictures here or will you open a thread for each topic?

Cheers!

Question time:

We post pictures on here I think, because I doubt the mods would be too happy with me messing up the forum once a month! The pictures don't have to be new, but really should have been taken either by you or a close friend/relative. Photo shopping is not always allowed, for some topics it will be allowed (for example if we did a black and white topic). I think for this topic a tiny bit of photo shopping is allowed, but no completely changing a picture. We will do a vote for each month, but instead of turning the thread into a poll, which would get messy very quickly, you send pm,s for who you want to win to me within the set voting time. Just like the telly! No voting for yourself, mind.

Those pictures look excellent, keep em coming! :D
