I recently ordered one of these and am looking to read up on some tips on how to best use it. I'm having difficulty using it without it making noise and clipping my jacket. Any advice or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

Or is it just trial and error?

All I can say is stand in front of a mirror and practice, practice and practice. Make sure you have set it up correctly and re-adjust if necessary. Misdirection is also a wonderful tool to use with it. Hope that helps
