Professors Nightmare - Dimensions / measurements ...please

Can somebody who owns this effect measure for me their lengths (ooh er missus) or give me the ratios stating short length, middle and then long.

I have a long length of magicians rope that I am going to cut into the appropriate bits....

I found a middle rope length I was comfortable with.

Twice that is the the sum of the long and short. Though depending on what percentage of the total you want each to be will define where you make that cut.

Actually cut three ropes the same length as you want the middle rope to be, and hold them as you would part way through the routine. Have a look at where your comfy "grip" is, and this should indicate your preference to you.

part way there but don't cut three ropes the same length as you'll wast one part.

Also how long you cut will depend very much on how long the length of rope is that you already have.

I start by cutting onem two metre length of rope. Then cut this in half so that you have two one metre pieces. Put one piece aside.

With the one piece that remains, cut the short length off one end, this will usually be about 15cm.

You then use the short piece with the one metre long piece which, when folded will equal the remaining part giving the impression of three equal length ropes.

Just to confuse you even more

I have mine cut to: 25cm, 60cm and 100cm - with some insulation tape at the ends to stop them fraying. These are comfortable sizes for me, but might not suite everyone.
