I think he's a Google scammer who compiled a list of every sleight known to man so that every one will refer you to his page. If you see it ignore it.

David Penn is actually quite a well known and distinguished magician. To date, his awards include:

1994 Close Up Magician of the Year (Magic Circle)
Winner of the British Magical Championships
Close Up Magician of the Year (IBM)
British Champion of Illusion
Cecil Lyle Award winner (Magic Circle)

In my opinion it would be quite a stupid trick to pull if you are so well known, to do something like that but then again, people are willing to go to any lengths for publicity. On the other hand the internet is a very "tricky" place with hackers and the like defacing and attacking websites for no apparent reason.

All the best,

Having said that I have just realised that all of the pages there are sub-pages of his domain name so I suspect this is just a cheap publicity stunt. Not that it matters.

If you understand how search engines work David may have put this into the HTML of his web pages to try to elivate himself to the front of most search engines....all these links seem to link to the main front page of his website.

The links may have been picked up by the search engines....although he may not have realised that it would show up like this as links on a single page....! :)

I'm a huge fan of David Penn and he lives locally. He does table magic at a restaurant near me every Sunday and he's ace!
