I will soon be loosing my day job. ( mid october).

Today, i found out that the job i had been going for in the company, which is in effect exactly what i already do, but more Admin and less hands on, isnt going to be mine.

Now, before any single one of you posts " go pro" on here, twitter, bunny, or facebook....let me mention , thats not what i want to hear at the moment.

Im feeling dead low at the moment, and felt that i needed to write this..

just to get it off my chest. :)

so, on the off chance i get snappy with any of you over the next few months, bear with me. I really feel like sh*t at the mo.

D.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Really sorry to hear that news Dale, mere words are totally inadequate at low times like this but I'll keep my fingers crossed that something rewarding turns up for you as soon as possible.

That's horrible news, Dale. You just stick in there and keep positive, things do have a habit of sorting themselves out for the best if you let
them. :D

That sucks Dale.

Sadly I've had more than my fair share of redundancies the last couple of years and can empathise with you.

One positive is you've got until October, you're not in a situation where you've been told not to come in tomorrow (happens far too often). You've got some time to get yourself out there. Nobody is going to pretend that the current climate is great for job seeking, it's not. Perservere though and good things WILL come.

All the best.

Hey Dale!
You had given me a warning that this might happen. Too bad it did.
I do hope to meet you in August though, let's all hope for the best!

Cheers mate!

Hey Dale,
Gutted for you. Hope throughout you can keep your spirits up. You've been a big help to me over the time gone - I just wish I could do more than offer words of support.

Sorry to hear that, Dale.

As Van_der_belt says, at least you have three months' notice to try and sort something else out. Not much consolation right now, but you will probably come to value that breathing space.

The best of luck to you.

thanks.. but the thing is, I cant breathe until i know what money Im getting.

you see, because its an outsource thing, iam subject to something called TUPE.
Basicaly, its a bloody mess, where the other lot might offer me a job.. and i might have to take it.. but its in Dublin.

Nothing wrong with that. Some good magicians in dublin.

but i dont want to move... I cant.. Its possible that if i say no, it will be assumed that i have handed in my notice, so nodosh.

and the other lot can sack me within days , if they decide they no longer need me, Again.. no cash, and id be stuck in dublin...

there are so many pitfalls involved in this. No wonder Ive been diagnosed with high blood pressure!
